If you have been juicing for any period of time, then you know this is a great juicing tip! If you are new to juicing then you should read on, because this simple tip could sometimes be the difference between you making a juice today or putting it off for another. When this happens you might not get around to juicing for weeks, or maybe never!
A Messy Space Equals Not Juicing Some Days
Have you ever been starving, walked into your kitchen to make something for yourself, and out of pure frustration and just not wanting to deal with it at the moment walked out because it was a mess? You might have even decided to go out to get something to eat because you were just too tired to deal with cleaning right at that moment. Or maybe, instead of preparing something healthy for yourself you decided to just grab a frozen meal and pop it in the microwave?
It’s no different when it come to juicing! Making some juices can be really easy, but some of them take a little bit of time. Sometimes you also really need some more counter space to spread out your ingredients, and get them ready to go into your juicer. If your space is a mess, odds are your going to be skipping making your juice altogether!
Clean Your Juicer After You Use It!
This goes without saying, but I know how it is and have left mine a mess sometimes after I made juice. Seriously, sometimes you just want to make your juice and drink it down! When your tired it can just seem to prolong the whole process if you have to clean your juicer after.
I’ve learned for myself it’s a good idea to at least rinse my juicer off really well in hot water after I use it. I especially pay attention to getting the pulp off, because it can harden and become a real pain to deal with later! Sometimes when I’ve left my juicer and all of its parts to clean later, I just put off juicing for longer because I really don’t want to clean it all when I come back to it.
I do my best now to at least clean my juicer once I’ve finished my juice! This means that sometimes I can make my juice, rinse off the juicer parts real quick, and go relax and enjoy drinking it. Then I come back in the middle of drinking my juice and wash the juicer and its parts, so that it’s ready for the next time.
This gives me a break in between from when I’m making my juice, and when I have to wash the juicer. These few extra moments of a break make it easier for me to wash everything up. I can’t tell you exactly why, but it just seems to work for me sometimes.
My best advice would be to just wash the juicer right after juicing, meanwhile drinking some of your juice. Believe me when I say that you’ll want it to be clean when you come back to make another juice, otherwise you just may skip making another juice because it seems like too much work.
Keeping A Small Space Clean Helps You Feel Serene
When you’ve kept a small space, or even the whole kitchen area clean, you might actually feel like doing something in there! 🙂 Think about it. You’re already trying to stay in the habit of making and enjoying a fresh juice. In your mind, on some days you already feel like it’s going to be some work to make the juice. Tell me I’m wrong?!
If your space is nice and clean, and everything is all washed up and ready to go you will be more likely to want to go ahead and make yourself a juice! In fact, you might just feel at ease, calm, and happy to be in your kitchen. I’m telling you a clean space will help you to feel more at peace and you will actually want to be in there.
Consistency Is The Key
Not only is consistency the key for keeping up with a healthy habit, but it’s also key when it comes to keeping a space clean for your juicing. If you keep up with it and do a little bit of cleaning here and there, it will be so much easier on you rather than letting it all build up and then cleaning for a really long time! I’m saying this because I’ve learned over and over the hard way! I tend to be a clean it all at once guy, but the problem with this is that you don’t always want to clean it all at once, so YOU DON’T DO IT AT ALL!
It’s interesting because this is very similar to our health, and how that if we keep adding something healthy into our diet (such as juice) here and there, we won’t have to deal with a build up of bad health all at once! I’m telling you consistency is the key!
During A Juice Cleanse Keeping A Clean Space Is Crucial
If you’re doing a juice cleanse, or considering doing a juice cleanse then you will most definitely want to take this juicing tip to heart. Take it from someone who has done multiple juice cleanses, keeping your kitchen space or wherever your making your juices clean can make or break your cleanse. Seriously!
When all you’re taking into your body is juice and you’re feeling hungry, the last thing you want to deal with is cleaning! You need to have your space clean and ready to go when you want to make a juice! This also definitely applies to leaving it in a messy state at night before you go to bed. You don’t want to wake up and have to clean for an hour before your start making a whole bunch of juice for the day.
You want to wake up feeling good, walk into your clean kitchen, and start making your juice without having to fuss with anything else! Remember these words before you start your juice cleanse because they will go a long way with helping you succeed. The difference between walking into a messy kitchen, and walking into a clean one when you’re starving and scrambling to make a juice is a big one! Do yourself a favor, and keep it clean!
Wrapping It Up!
To put it simply, keeping a space clean and clear for your juicing is never a bad idea! It may seem like a pain in the moment to take a little bit of extra time to clean up, but it will go a long way towards keeping you on track with your juicing and health goals!
