Today you have been drinking juice once a day for 11 days, and this will be the first day you add a leafy green to your juice! We want to congratulate you on being 1/3 of the way through your 30 day juicing challenge! If you found this page by other means and want to know more about our free juicing challenge then follow that link.
We have found spinach to be one of lighter flavored leafy greens, which makes it a perfect one to start out with! There are many nutrient dense green juices out there, but did you know the juice that comes out of leafy greens is some of the most nutritious stuff on the planet?
Dark Leafy Greens Make The Ultimate Nutritious Green Juice
Green juice is the pinnacle of nutrition when it comes to juicing, and the juice from leafy greens and especially darker leafy greens is the creme de la creme of green juice.
When your juicing dark leafy greens like kale, spinach, chard, turnip greens, beet greens, collard greens, and more it can be easy to think that it’s sort of a waste, because so little juice is coming out of all that green. Here’s the thing. That little amount of juice is some of the most concentrated nutrition there is on our planet.
What you see inside your glass after juicing is an extract of water and the pure nutrients that are inside of whatever it is you’ve juiced. It’s not a waste at all! You’ve simply taken all of the best stuff inside of the fruit or vegetable and concentrated it into a liquid.
Drinking A Variety Of Leafy Green Juice Is Even Better
What’s better than one concentrated leafy green juice? Two or more!
Each and every vegetable and fruit comes with a different nutrient profile that offers something different. Leafy greens are no different and a good way to ensure your getting even more good stuff into your body is by drinking a variety of them.
Today your going to be starting out with spinach juice, but by the end of this 30 day juicing challenge you will have tried out others also.
If you discover one leafy green that you like more than the rest that’s ok, but you wont know until you’ve tried them.
We try to do our best to mix up our juicing combinations so we get a variety if nutrition. From our experience and from all of the research we’ve done we believe this is the best way to optimize our health. We want to encourage you to remain open minded during your juicing challenge and give everything a shot before you make a decision about it.
Not everyone loves green juices right away and in fact for most of us it takes some time to get used to their stronger flavors. This is why it’s good to start out with more fruit in your juice when you begin juicing, because it really does help at first with the green juices.
Given some time you might find that you really start craving your green juice, and the energy boost it gives you. This has definitely been the case for us!
