If you’ve been following our 30 Days To Green Juicing Challenge then you will be half way through it once you’ve enjoyed today’s tasty juice recipe!
We have chosen every juice for this challenge very purposefully so that you can be slowly introduced to green juices. Some people take to green juices immediately, just love them and never turn back! For others, it takes a more graceful process of slowly adapting your taste buds to these flavors. You may of never even tried kale before in your life before these last two days, so we really chose some flavorful combinations to get you started with this amazing leafy green vegetable.
Finding The Juice Combos That You Like
Sometimes getting different varieties of nutrient dense vegetables and fruits into your juice recipes has everything to do with the combinations you can put together. There may be some vegetable or fruit juices that you really don’t like when combined with other specific juices, but when combined with the right vegetable or fruit suddenly your in love! It’s taken us some years of experimenting to find the different combinations that we know we like together, and we’re still learning new one’s all of the time!
If you have had a harder time with a certain vegetable or fruit in the past, but know that you want to get more of that specific item into your body, then don’t be afraid to experiment a little. A good way to do this is to juice a smaller amount of that ingredient and try mixing it with a small amount of another ingredient. This way your not pouring money down the drain when you find that you don’t like the combination you came up with. Believe us, we know how this can be!
Once you find a combination you like try to add just one more ingredient into the mix. You can keep doing this over time until you’ve found a decent mix of vegetable and fruit combos that you like together. Then to make more of that same juice all you need to is multiply the amount of each ingredient. So, say you liked how 4 leaves of romaine lettuce tasted with 1/2 of an apple and 2 carrots. If you want more, simply juice 12 leaves of romaine lettuce with 1 and 1/2 apples and 6 carrots. This is exactly three times the amount. See what we mean? Before you know it you’ve got a nice jar of your favorite juice on hand, and you didn’t have to spend an arm and a leg to figure it out.
We’re not sure what it is exactly, but we have found that grape juice really seems to work well with kale. We’re not the only ones who think so! We’ve talked with many other people who feel the same way. Today you’ll get to enjoy a grape and kale juice recipe, and hope that it will open your world up even more to the possibilities of juicing combinations, and the delicious flavors you can create!
