So, here we are day 17 . Wow, you are doing so great! You should feel proud of yourself. You are one step closer to finishing your 30 day juicing challenge!
Today we will be going over some health benefits of strawberry juice. Luckily, most people like strawberries, so it won’t be hard convincing most that it’s good to drink. Here are some benefits:
- Strawberries have so many benefits, it’s incredible. First off strawberries are high in vitamin A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, and C. They also contain beta-carotene, folic acid, calcium, magnesium, zinc, sodium, potassium, iron, fiber, and iodine.
Wow, that’s a lot, but it doesn’t stop there.
- Strawberries are anti-inflammatory, and contain lots of antioxidants. It’s also known to alleviate constipation, diarrhea, malaria, and pneumonia.
- Did you know that strawberry juice helps suppress your appetite, so you feel less hungry. It also helps lower your blood pressure and prevents high blood pressure.
- Lastly, strawberry juice is anti-cancer. You can thank its very high amount of various antioxidants and flavonoids. These work together against oxidation and prevent damage caused by free radicals.
On a separate note, there is a trick to make sure your strawberry juice will be sweet and delicious. When you go to the store pick strawberries that are ripe. The more white and hard they are, the more sour and tangy they will taste in your juice. They just have not ripened all the way yet. Look for the red, juicy strawberries and you will be in business!
Also… If you are going to juice your strawberries in a masticating juicer it does help to follow them up with a harder vegetable or fruit like broccoli or an apple. This will help more all the strawberry through the juicer. It is actually better to juice pulpier fruit and vegetables like pineapple or strawberries through a centrifugal juicer than a masticating juicer. It will extract more juice that way. Leafy greens on the other hand extract more juice out of a masticating juicer than a centrifugal.
