This is day 26 of The 30 Days To Green Juicing Challenge. Today we will be talking about juice cleansing. There are many reasons why people have done, will, and are doing juice cleanses.
It could be for weight loss, detox, health reasons, etc. Did you know that some people have cured their diabetes, lost a lot of weight, or healed other ailments from doing a juice cleanse.
We’ve both personally experienced massive positive benefits from juice cleansing! Liisa from Raw Juice Cleanse Recipes (I’m the one writing Day 26) has cleared up eczema, lost about 27 pounds, and has found more energy and clearness. Sean from Raw Juice Cleanse Recipes lost around 25 pounds, found more mental clarity, better sleep, and more.
Oh, that above was from one 30 day juice cleanse. Combined we have lost over 100 pounds through juice cleansing!
We both received a lot of benefits from doing juice cleanses, and that’s why we feel passionate to tell other people about it.
Have you ever thought about doing a juice cleanse?
You can do a 1, 3, 4, 7, 15, or 30 day cleanse. You can even do a 90 day juice cleanse. It’s really up to you how many days you would want to do. Doing this 30 days to green juicing challenge will help you get an idea what juicing tastes like, just picture doing this all day. You will just consume juice.
But wait! You may be thinking “Will I be hungry all the time?” We only advocate drinking 1 gallon of juice or more. There are other programs that advocate drinking less than a gallon, but we do not believe that is healthy. The only exception we make is if it’s done for spiritual purposes.
If you drink less than a gallon of juice your body will go into starvation mode. Your body will hold on to what it has because it does not know when it’s going to get food again. This will really slow down the weight loss. You will also be super hungry and may even feel dizzy. This is why we tell people to drink a minimum of 1 gallon of juice a day. There are times when we have drank 2 gallons a day. We definitely did not feel hungry.
The first three days can be the hardest because your body is getting used to only consuming fresh juice. You may also feel symptoms of detox, but don’t worry, that’s your body just doing its thing to clean out.
Ok, after all that talk about drinking enough juice, here are some benefits to doing a juice cleanse.
Some Benefits of Doing A Juice Cleanse
You can lose a lot of weight. Results vary from one person to another. It also depends on how many days you choose to do it. You’re more likely to lose more weight if you do it for 15, opposed to 3 days. Just keep that in mind when you look at your personal goal. Check this blog post out where we chronicled a 30 day juice cleanse we did, in which we each lost around 27 pounds!
People have cured their diabetes. This is no joke, we have heard from people who have cured themselves by juice cleansing, eating healthy, and exercise. Here is a link to a man’s story of how he cured his diabetes. People have cured other disease and ailments with juicing.
People juice cleanse because they want to detox their body. There are so many chemicals and toxins in our environment that it’s a good idea to clean out your system of them. There is pollution in the air, we consume unhealthy even toxic foods and substances, we even may put unhealthy products on our skin. Our skin is so porous, it can absorb a lot.
Among all of these great reasons to juice cleanse you can gain mental clarity, a healthier relationship with food, improved sleep, increased energy, healthier glowing skin and hair, and improved self-confidence.
