Your First Green Juicing Ingredient
Cucumber juice is one of the easiest green juices to drink, and is a great ingredient to be in our first semi green juice! Cucumber makes a great base for many green juice recipes, because of the amount of juice it produces and the mild flavor it has. It really helps to add a low sugar, low calorie base to any juice.
When adding it in with a another sweet ingredient, it does tend to “water down” the flavor a bit, but the bonus again is that you get a lot more volume, and this volume comes at an incredibly low calorie cost. We’ll cover a few of the health benefits of cucumber juice after the juice recipe!
Your Juice Recipe For Day 7
Apple Cucumber Cooler
The ounces of juice you get will vary depending on the size of your apples and cucumber.
A Few Of The Benefits From Drinking This Juice Recipe
- Cucumber juice contains silica, which is known to aid in the construction of connective tissues such as ligaments, tendons, cartilage, muscles and bones. Make sure to include the peel in your juice if you’re using organic cucumbers, because that is where most of the silica is concentrated.
- Cucumber juice is highly alkaline, which makes it a good addition to add to your juice if you’re following an alkaline diet, or a anti-candida type diet.
- Apple juice has been shown to prevent and reduce the risk of cancer.
