Spinach Juice Cleanse Recipes


Spinach juice has many health benefits ranging from it's powerful blood purifying properties, to it's prevention of many types of diseases. Spinach juice is a good detoxifying juice for the colon and is very alkalizing. Recipe #1.

Spinach Sweet Spinach!

Simple recipe.

1 medium bunch Spinach
7 Carrots
2 small Apples

If you want something more precise.

(2 and 1/2 cups chopped) Spinach= 4 and 1/2 ounces juice
(2 and 1/2 cups chopped) Carrots= 5 and 1/2 ounces juice
(3 and a half cups chopped) Apples= 12 ounces juice

This recipe yields about 22 ounces of juice.

Recipe #2.

Tropical Spinach

Simple recipe.

1 medium sized Mango
1/3 fresh cut Pineapple
1 large head Spinach

If you want something more precise.

(1 cup chopped) Mango= 2 ounces juice
(1 and 1/2 cups chopped) Fresh Cut Pineapple= 7 ounces juice
(3 cups chopped) Spinach= 6 ounces

Yields about 15 ounces of juice.

This spinach juice recipe makes a juice that has a very sweet pineapple and mango flavor with some of the spinach flavor coming through. I prepare the mango by peeling it's skin and then cutting the fruit off of the seed. It can then be chopped or fed through your juicer as you like. I enjoy this taste combination, but some people might want to juice a little more pineapple/mango, or a little less spinach. The vitamin C in the pineapple and Mango will help your body to absorb the iron in the spinach better.

Recipe #3.

Smooth Sailing   Spinachjuicerecipessmoothsailing

Simple recipe.

1 bunch Spinach
10 Carrots
1/4 head green Cabbage
1 Apple
1 knuckle Ginger

If you want something more precise.

(4 cups chopped) Spinach = 9 ounces juice
(3 and 1/2 cups chopped) Carrots = 10 ounces juice
(2 cups chopped) Cabbage = 3 ounces juice
(2 and 1/2 cups chopped) Apple = 7 ounces juice
1 knuckle Ginger = under an ounce of juice

Yields between 29 and 30 ounces of juice.

This spinach juice recipe is what Popeye himself may be enjoying on a nice smooth voyage. These flavors blend together really well and create a nice sweet juice that is not too overpowered by any one flavor. We put a smaller amount of ginger in this juice to create this smooth blend, and if you want to add more feel free to do so. I personally like the spice of ginger and might add another half knuckle myself. If smooth is what you are looking for, then I would leave it just as it is.

    I have an Omega 8005 juicer , new to juicing and enjoy it daily. Recently found out I have osteoporosis and wondered if wheatgrass is good for that. I live in a hot dry area of Hawaii and can't grow kale well. There is a farmer market 50 miles away that is great but it's too far. Markets in my area seam the same as the grocery stores. Do you know of any other web site that can help me with osteoporosis. I want to treat it and follow a good diet and not take medications. Mahalo for your help. Jackie

      Hello Jackie,

      I am sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis of osteoporosis. This bone disease is definitely becoming more and more common.

      I have to admit that I am not positive if wheatgrass is specifically helpful versus osteoporosis. I do however know that wheatgrass is helpful for increasing health in general. I have seen different nutritional profiles regarding wheatgrass so it is difficult to comment on the specific amounts of certain nutrients inside of it.

      Wheatgrass does however contain a wide spectrum of nutrients and also micronutrients. The beautiful thing about wheatgrass is not necessarily the amount of nutrients found per fluid ounce, but the variety of nutrients all bundled together in one package. Many believe there are still many health benefits wheatgrass provides that we as humans have not yet discovered.(If are interested Google Ann Wigmore and you can read about her story of healing using wheatgrass). I personally juice wheatgrass as much as I can, because I love how I feel after drinking it and after everything I have read I believe it provides my body with a great amount of nutritional health benefits!

      At this time I do not know of any other specific websites that would be a good legitimate source of information concerning osteoporosis and diet. I don't like recommending anything unless I have done the legwork myself so that I can be sure that the information they are providing is well researched and sound. I have your email address though and will send you any information that I ever
      do find.

      I can tell you from my own research that cucumbers have been shown to help improve osteoporosis and joint/bone health in general! Specifically the skin of a cucumber holds a mineral called silica. This mineral has been shown to actually help rebuild joints, ligaments and also to improve the density of bones. This is specifically related to osteoporosis as this disease hollows out the bones.

      Leafy green vegetables including kale also contain a lot of the vitamins K, C, A as well as magnesium. They also contain other vitamins and minerals as well, but the ones I mentioned and especially vitamin K and magnesium help your body to absorb calcium better. Vitamin D is also required for good calcium absorption, but you can get a lot of your vitamin D from exposure to the sun, which I am sure you don't have a lack of there in Hawaii. Sunflower sprouts are a decent source of vitamin D though if you are looking for a juice source of that vitamin.

      Remember that if you decide to juice cucumbers for their silica as well as their many other health benefits to include the skins! The skin is where the mineral silica is mainly found!
